Can i use Vsphere replication for different sites 2000 miles apart, without shared storage.

Hi,

We have DR activity to perform.I need some suggestion regarding this without investing too much on the IS.Please find my current is status as mentioned below.

We have 2 different sites, in different Sub-net, with separate SAN storage, and no shared storage between both the sites.

Site in Miami (primary)

6 ESX host running 5.5

Dedicated SAN Storage for Miami

Site in Culpeper (DR Site)

5 ESX host running 5.5

Dedicated SAN Storage for Culpeper

1. We do not have a shared storage between Miami and Culpeper sites.
2. Although we have ONNET  connection of 200mbps between the VNX boxes at Miami and Culpeper
3. We have asynchronous LUN Replication in place; with a delay of 15 min

We want to configure a DR plan with the features available from VMware such as (VSphere Replication, V-motion, V-san, SRM)

I need your suggestions in deciding the best of all the solutions. Kindly help us in reaching a solution which satisfies our business critical application server (Which mainly includes DB,application and Backup Servers) fail-over from Miami to Culpeper and fail back to Miami.
