I am Dinesh and we do day to day work in Virtual desktop, recently our client asked us to use a new Server IP, in which we are facing frequent screen freezes in VMware view 4.6 as well as in 5.2 versions and below are the steps we use to connect to the VMware view.
Type the VDI IP in Internet Explorer, it will take us to Juniper Networks using PCoIP.
Provide the User name and Password. Once we provide those, it will ask for RSA token, then it will take us to Juniper networks home page, which will list the VDI pools available for use. When we click one of those VDI pools, it will launch Vmware view client and connect us to the Clients virtual desktop.
We have been troubleshooting this issue for months, but couldn't figure out what is causing the freezes.
Have taken Wireshark traces on the Physical m/c as well as in Virtual m/c, which gave us nothing and tried the ping test for the VDI IP. Ping test shows us a spike during the freeze time. i.e., on an average it takes 234 ms to ping, but during freeze time it spikes to 3200 ms.
It would be great if some one enlightens me on how to fix this issue, also has anybody faced the same issue and steps taken to identify the issue, would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance!
