Taking the VCAP-DCA for 5.5 tomorrow at noon! I'm very excited but anxious too. I've read plenty of reviews from others so I know that time is the main factor in the test. That's why I've really hit myself with every scenario that seems reasonable and I've worked on it in my lab over the past 6 months and I've been hitting it almost relentlessly for the past 3 week.
Though I'm not going in arrogantly I am going to say I feel extremely well prepared. I've taken a couple of other tests at this high level before and in both case I've over-prepared hoping to completely obliterate the test and that worked both of those times. I hope to do the same thing here. My goal is to get half the test done in the first hour, the other half done in the second, and review / go over the questions I couldn't answer in the third hour. If I can meet this I'm pretty sure that by the end of the first hour that I'll already know that I'll pass. That is my optimistic view of this test
I'm laying this all out now because I want to be able to report back whether it is possible to over-prepare for this test and knock it out of the park that way. It seems like every other review is from people who have studied for a month and pass or fail the test but in neither case are confident ahead of or during the test. I hope that I'll be able to report that extensive studying in a lab environment while following the Blueprint will make this test a breeze. Stay tuned!
