Hello Stoimen!

  • Version is 1.1 GA (Version 1.1.0.2773276  Build: 2773276)
  • No proxy
  • wshaffer linked the documentation referencing contacting VMware support for this issue, so I won't repeat that.

I've generated the support bundle and will send it to you.  I should mention there were multiple error messages when running the command.  The errors referenced "failed to run cmd: wevtutil",  citing "The parameter is incorrect."

I'll send what was generated into the .tgz file if I can get a proper email address.  Yours shows "(Private)" in your profile.

Looking into logs within AppData\Roaming\VMware\Software Manager\Download Service\Logs, I found the service attempts to connect to https://depot.vmware.com/PROD/

Attempting to connect to https://depot.vmware.com/PROD manually via web browser, I am prompted for credentials, and once I enter them, I receive the following:

"HTTP Status 403 - ::AUTH-BIZ-014::Thank you for your evaluation request. We are currently reviewing your eligibility, and request that you try again after 3 business days. Please contact us if you have any questions and quote Message ID: 621."

I've had my VMware account for YEARS, so the error doesn't seem proper.  That lead me to this KB: VMware KB: Message ID 621: Download request is under review for eligibility

I've checked my profile, and all fields referenced in the KB are completed (Name, Address, Country, etc.)    I am able to download files (.ISO, .ZIP, .OVF, .OVA, etc.) from my.vmware.com via normal web interface without issue, so I'm definitely "authorized" for products downloads.

More to come as I continue with this.

Thx!
