I have a Dell T320 server and I have install ESXi 6. The server has 4 SATA drive 500GB each. I have configured 3 of the drives as RAID 5 through the Dell drive management utility, other drive left as normal. The ESXi 6 is installed in the normal drive. Managing the ESXi 6 from the vSphere, only one datastore is visible, the normal drive. When I go to configuration tab and attempt to Add storage the 3 drives are visible, but as individual disk not the 1TB RAID 5 drive. I can only add them as single drive datastore.
Why is the ESXi 6 dropping the RAID 5 configuration. Please help. Any lead is welcomed
