ovf tool - ova file - deploy ovf template

Hi

I have an ova file, which I can import into Workstation, this then shows vmx files.

I need to update the ova image with ip, hostname etc, and I understand you would normally deploy the ovf template via the Vsphere client.

So does anyone if I can do something similar using the ovftool or workstation to make the changes I need.

I'm not that familiar with it,  so if you can any examples would be great.
