Workstation - The capacity of the parent virtual disk and the capacity of the child disk are different

Hi All,

I had to increase the disk size on a vm and although it completed without an issue i now get the following error when trying to start the vmware. There aren't any active snapshots listed within vmware but it has been snapshot and reverted to in the past.

Error message:

The Capacity of the parent virtual disk and the capacity of the child disk are different.

is there a way i can either revert the original VM disk or fix the child disk to match the original disk size? I've googled a fair bit and all points to a CID miss match but none of my CID's appear to be different?

Any ideas?
