I just saw that you accidentally posted your reply to another (6 year old) discussion.

-  I click on the new virtual machine

- and the new virtual machine wizard appeared

- I clicked on the typical(recommended) and click the next button

- I chose 'I will install the operating system later' and clicked the next button

- I chose Microsoft Windows and the version was Windows 7 and I clicked the next button

- I clicked the next button again

- I clicked on the Store virtual disk as a single file and clicked next

- and then finished

- I double clicked on the cd/dvd (IDE) auto detect

- I clicked on the use ISO image file and browsed to where the ISO images were and then clicked ok

- Lastly I clicked on the power on this virtual machine and it started with the network boot and then exited and the error came;NO OPERATING SYSTEM WAS FOUND.    ;-(

What I'm missing is enabling "Connect at power on" check box after selecting the .iso image. Btw. can you confirm that you are using the Windows 7 installation ISO image, i.e. not a service pack image. Microsoft uses similar names for the images, e.g. "... Windows7_SP1..." (SP only) and "...Windows7_with_SP1..." (full installation image), which can be confusing.

PS: I'm going to delete your reply from the old discussion.
