Sorry to resurrect an old thread here, but I have the same situation and am having trouble getting the script to run. All I get is "The system cannot find the path specified" when I run it from a command prompt within the directory where the corrupted .vmx is/was. I played with the parameters in the file but no luck. Mine got corrupted when the drive it was on ran out of space and caused the vm to crash (couldn't free space as it was literally the only thing on the drive. I moved the entire directory to a larger drive, but after the crash, the .vmx file shows as being zero bytes in size, and I don't have a backup of this volume (I do have an old clone of it, but that was from 3-4 months ago. Can someone correct my usage of this script or generate a .vmx for me? Log attached...
