Dear community,
my Nagios told me about duplicates when pinging my new VHost. In the ping output I see duplicate responses arrive on ping requests, the second one is delayed for about 0.01-0.02 ms
So I tried to figure out where this comes from. Basically an empty VHost with no machines running does not show duplicates. As soon I switch on a machine and it starts to boot I see the duplicates, they stop shortly after I power-off the machine. Additionally I see duplicates when I migrate a VM from the local datastore to a NFS Datastore. So it seems to be network traffic or NFS related.
I'm running the up-to-date ESXi in a VSphere 5.5. The VHost is a Dell 630 with Broadcom BCM57800 network inferface(s).
