Hello,
I'm setting up a VMware environment for the first time. I'm wondering, after I've dedicated one physical NIC to network management,
4 NIC's to redundant iSCSI connections to the SAN, I'm only left with ONE physical NIC to dedicate to a VM Network. How many VM's
should you dedicate to ONE physical NIC?
I understand that "it depends" on how much traffic each VM generates, but would I expect to be "OKay" with ONE NIC if I'm going to be running
12 windows server VM's? I have One SQL server, one Exchange Server, a file server, a couple of domain controllers and a few webservers etc.
roughly 100 users total.
Do you think I can get away with all of those VMs running off ONE 'uplink' / NIC?
Thoughts?
